James F. Lane started Atomic Plumbing in 1968, with only two trucks to service plumbing and heating needs throughout the Tidewater area. Ten years later, Jim Steinle came to work for the company and took over the operation in 1986 upon the untimely death of Jim Lane. Today, Steinle runs the company with the same business ethics established by its founder.

Atomic Plumbing now runs fifteen trucks, providing plumbing work for the entire Hampton Roads area. We offer a complete line of plumbing services and hire the best-trained, certified technicians. We have always believed in giving the customer top rate service at a fair price, and we stand behind our work.

My hot water handle in my shower stopped working and would just spin. I thought about trying to replace it myself, but anytime I have tried to fix anything in my house I have run into issues, so I decided to call a plumber. I choose Atomic Plumbing based on there reviews and because they are located nearby me. I needed this issue fixed quick, so I could use my shower, Atomic Plumbing had somebody out within about an hour of me calling them. Jim and Bradley showed up, were polite and very professional, they looked at what my issue was, knew immediately what the problem was and got me a price to fix it. They had the parts in there vehicle, so once I gave them the go ahead they got to work. They wound up replacing all 3 of my handles (Hot, Cold and Diverter) and the components behind the handles, which is what I was expecting would be needed. They completed the job in about an hour and everything now functions better than before. I am glad I called them, as I could hear that they had a few issues getting the old stuff off, which is what I was afraid of and why I didn't try to repair myself. When it comes to the price, I wound up paying just under $700 to have this issue fixed, I am not sure if that is a good price or not, but didn't mind paying it to have the issue fixed right and to avoid the headache and frustration of trying to fix it myself. Overall I am very satisfied with my experience with Atomic Plumbing and there plumbers, Jim and Bradley, I will be keeping there card and calling them in the future if I have any other plumbing issues.

Chris and Bradley saved the day for me. Atomic dispatched them for a service call on a Saturday. Finding a plumber on a Saturday is not easy but not for Atomic. Mike C and Hudson arrived and introduced themselves. After an examination of my current water heater it was determined that It would to be replaced as it was leaking and rusty. Mike worked up the cost and gave me two options. Once I made my decision the two of them went to work on replacing the water heater. Once completed the water running in the tub was less than desirable. After several minutes the water began clearing up. Both gentlemen were very professional and answered any questions I asked. They were both very pleasant and made sure I understood what they were doing and how everything worked. Great job guys !!!

I want to give a huge shout out to Mike C and the whole Atomic Plumbing team. My water heater broke and they were the only company that promised same day service, and then they delivered on that promise in a big way!! Mike arrived at the scheduled time, and even though it was already later in the afternoon he diagnosed the problem and committed to fixing it the same day. We ended up replacing the 22 year old appliance. Even though this was a big job Mike stayed and finished the job and he finally left around 9pm!! I’d say this is going above and beyond. Thank you Mike and Atomic Plumbing for coming to our rescue; you have gained a new customer. And lastly, but probably most importantly, throughout the entire process Mike was thorough, professional, explaining every step of the process and very customer service oriented; he made sure that we were happy with the work performed before he left. Atomic continues to impress me with their professionalism and timeliness. They provided me with a great estimate for removing an old water heater and replacing it with a bigger sized one while also adding an extension to our natural gas line for an outdoor grill. In between accepting the offer and actually conducting the work, we had a large leak under our kitchen sink. Atomic responded within hours by sending the tech who was going to complete the work on our house, so we could meet him and explain the plan beforehand. Kale had the leak fixed within 30 minutes and was great about talking through the plan for our scheduled work. A couple of days later, Kale and Jamie did an outstanding job installing our new water heater and flawlessly added an additional natural gas line for our grill. Atomic has my highest recommendation for both plumbing emergencies as well as planned projects - thank you!

Great job by Atomic. James and Josh did impressive work.James was able to find and fix a long time tricky leak that two other plumber could not repair. The repair required quite a bit of skill, but James had the experience to pull it off. Josh was fantastic help through out, even working in the pouring rain.Both had great customer sevice skills. They patiently answered all my questions and worked with me on options.Work was not cheap, but quality is worth it. Fixed price pricing let me know what i was in for with out watching the clock.Great job all around, particularly by James and Josh.

This was my first experience with Atomic Plumbing. They were recommend by my neighbor. Jess, who answered Atomic's phone on a late Friday afternoon, was exceptionally helpful, extremely polite and so courteous! Jess was was able to schedule me for Saturday..... and there was no extra charge for weekend service! Kale and Josh, who repaired the wall shut on/off valve to my refrigerator water dispenser could not have been more polite and courteous, as well as knowledgeable and professional!! They explained the repair and cost .... the process could not have been easier for me to understand!! I'm so pleased with their quality of work and their kindness! Two really nice guys who know what they're doing.......TOTALLY AWESOME!!

Mike C is a truly talented Plumber. He has the knowledge and the hand skills to complete the job properly. He takes no shortcuts and does every step in a timely manner and in order.With the sheet rock off the wall being involved, I was impressed that Mike cleaned up often so the mess never got too big. By doing this, he was always working in a clean work area,… and my house is perfectly clean. I really appreciate that.From the first moment that Mike walked in the house and listened to my problem, I knew he was a first class mechanic Plumber. He knows the proper way to diagnose and to fix the job.The previous Plumber from two years ago, took a shortcut and cut part of the pipe and put in a rubber coupling with two clamps. He still charged me $1000. He took a shortcut instead of taking out the entire pipe like Mike did. The previous Plumber took a shortcut and only took out one little piece, so now, two years later I had to have it all redone. My sink would still never drain when the last plumber did it.Now I can drain two sinks of water at the same time. It is amazing.Mike C is my new plumber. I called Atomic first thing when my water line flooded my front yard. Chris and Will arrived the very next morning and tackled the job working diligently in the extreme heat, rain and mud for three days to install my new waterline. Not to sure why but my comments were not attached to photo? At any rate I commend David and all the staff at Atomic Plumbing to replace my water heater in my home. David the service technician arrived on time ready to get the job done. Although the old unit installed in December 2004, no longer repairable a new unit was installed.David was outstanding in the installation was more simple with a cut off lever for future maintenance. I had a terrible back up in the garage for my washing machine. I read the reviews and chose Atomic. Kale T showed up quickly and was allowing me to give him the details of my issues. He gave me a quote and I accepted. He went to work and worked very diligently to clear my line. My prayers were answered and he was able to clear the line that has been backing up for Years! I called Atomic in the beginning of April with what I thought was a clogged pipe after a toilet wouldn’t flush. Atomic came out and uncovered the house’s original cast iron pipes were broken/ rotting/ not graded properly. While it turned into a bigger project than we imagined, Kale and Jamie were communicative and helpful throughout the entire process. They had to break through the slab to redo the pipes and while it was overwhelming for us, I had full trust the job would be done right. Photos included before it was repaired to show the obstacles they had to get through to reach the break since all their hard work is under sand/ concrete now. Highly recommend to anyone!

I contacted atomic plumbing because my water heater was leaking badly into my water closet. They sent technicians out the very next day to remedy my issue. Scott and Bradley showed up promptly that morning and immediately got to work on replacing my 23 year old water heater. They had limited space to work with and had to tackle obstacles that were left in place by the previous installer all those years ago. Scott and Bradley managed to get my new unit installed in a very timely manner and were an absolute pleasure to work with. Very timely, price is right in line with what's expected, the techs who came out super personable and professional. the one area of improvement I can see is that the agent I spoke to to schedule said their prices were by the job type not by the hour or unique. I understand there's certain issues that could cause an increase however given they price the way they do it would be nice if they listed those generic prices for common issues like snaking a sewer drain, or unclogging interior pipes, etcetera on the website.

We have a nasty leak pop up in our bathroom late last night. We were able to get the water shut off the night, and we called Atomic first thing the next morning. Michael and his apprentice Michael, showed up not long after, and got the job conpleted in perfect order. When I called Tuesday for a plumber on Wednesday, this company stepped up; Scott and Bradley came to my home, stating the job would be done right; they honored that statement. They were very professional, and taught me where my plumbing lines lead; they answered all my questions about garbage disposals, and gave me great tips for future use. Not only did they find and fix the problem (clog) swiftly, they cleaned up the towels I laid down in the washer area, and moved the washer and dryer back into place; that is excellent service. They were phenomenal technicians and truly exceeded my expectations.I am very detailed oriented and noticed the extra work with a smile before they even said anything.I had a part on the sink that needed to be put on and they replaced it with a totally new much BETTER quality part.They also, replaced the shower valves upstairs and I could feel the difference just turning it on. They even sealed them as well.They were professional, fast, courteous, with some humor. They wore the shoe protectors for their shoes, to make sure my house stayed clean, even though they had to take them on and off a hundred times.Also, ask for DeAnna, she follows through with all the orders. First time using Atomic Plumbing and am pleased with their very upfront explanation of what they will do, no hidden costs, no inflated fees. My tenant indicated that while she ran the dishwasher the pipe underneath the sink was leaking. Their one time diagnostic fee is reasonable compared to some other competitors. They are personable and timely. Their invoice was thoroughly written where the technician narrated the steps he took to diagnose the problem. It's refreshing to know that they don't use the service call to upsell their service; or even worse, use scare tactics that make you feel that if you don't purchase a new item that things aren't as efficient. Hard to find trustworthy and reasonable service. Atomic Plumbing clearly met my expectations.

The service was excellent and my specialist "Mike" was fantastic and Atomic Plumbing should be honored to have him.Atomic Plumbing had to return, because there was no hot water (after the new hot water heater was installed) and the same specialist (Mike) came out to troubleshoot. After a while, the Supervisor "Robert" came by to assess. They were both outstanding and reassured me not to worry. Ultimately, Robert managed to find my original part and replaced it the next day. Need a plumber? I will always recommend Atomic. We've had at least 4 experiences with them over 18 years, and this last one was extensive. They spent over 25 hours working on our issue over nearly a week, having to dig up a section of our yard. They had to pause for the city and utilities to come out and mark the lines, and as soon as that was done, they were back and were able to quickly finish up in one day. They added a new access for future use, and discovered that prior to our ownership of the house, someone did a DIY repair that did not hold. I appreciate their prompt communication, friendly service, and dedication to resolving our issue as quickly as possible.They also offer a teacher and military discount and have financing options for work over $1000.We are thankful for them every time, but this time, they were truly our super heros!

I cannot say enough good things about Atomic Plumbing! I found out I had a gas leak round 4:00 on a Monday afternoon which of course caused my gas to be turned off in the middle of a winter day so needless to say it became quite cold in my house. I spoke with a wonderful woman at Atomic at 7:00 am the next morning who took my information and assured me someone would be out as quick as possible. My doorbell was ringing at 9:30 and Sean Dyer and his partner got quickly to work to resolve the problem and by 1:00 that afternoon I was good to go. My wife and I had an unexpected shower valve leak on Sunday. Unfortunately, our condo had to be cut off from the entire water supply to stop the leak. We ended up at a hotel for the night. Searched the web for plumbers in the Hampton roads area and Atomic plumbing was a business that depicted an excellent rating and even better reviews. I attest the reviews as the service provided by James and Josh is unparalleled. These gentleman were extremely courteous of my property and maintained the utmost professionalism. These gentleman possess extensive knowledge of their field and were able to help me with my plumbing issues. They addressed all my problems, questions and concerns. Highly recommended company. Called on a weekend and they came out to my house the same day. Other companies I called said they couldn’t come until the middle of the week. Very satisfied with the work and it was a very open and honest estimate and quote. Didn’t go over, even by $1, even after some small issues were ran into, they corrected them and took care of it all! Scott was a very good tech and took all my worries away. He explained everything well and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I contacted Atomic Plumbing for a leak under my kitchen sink. Deanna was extremely helpful in getting a technician out to me in a very timely manner (the next morning). Mike C. and Hudson were very friendly, efficient, and professional. They even carried on conversation with my toddler, who was very interested in what they were doing. The service was definitely not cheap, but you pay for the quality you get, and I can happily say I had a great experience.

I want to give recognition to Scott and Bradley who came out to address an ongoing plumbing issue I have been experiencing for months at my condo. The communication was great from the beginning and once we discussed my concerns they explained how they were going to address the problem and they updated me throughout the process to let me know what they were finding and what the next steps they were going to take. They were both VERY respectful, patient with my questions, showed empathy for my frustrations and ultimately resolved the issue. We came form an out of state trip to find out that our Rheem tankless water heater was not working. I immediately googled “tankless water heater” and the Atomic was the very first company that showed up in my search. I immediate called them on a Monday morning and within two hours, Justin R. arrived to troubleshoot the unit. Upon further inspection, Justin discovered that the unit was badly corroded and needed replacement. I was about to have guests to come visit the next day (Tuesday evening) and I asked Justin how long would it take to have a new heater installed. He said they had a Ranai Tankelss Water heater in stock and that he can have one installed the next day (Tuesday). As he inspected the electrical outlets in our laundry room where the heater was to be plugged in, he said that he had to have an electrical GFI outlet to connected to because my old water heater was plugged in with an extension cord to a non-GFI outlet, and furthermore, it was out of code. He was looking out for our safety! After we spoke with Atomic customer reps, we completed the order and ordered the unit. This is when it gets better. Atomic reps returned my call that same Monday after Justin left and told me that the water heater would not be installed until Wednesday, that’s two days later. Well, the reps spoke to Justin and he agreed to reschedule his Tuesday appointments with other customers for ours. He showed up early on Tuesday morning and patiently waited until the electrician installed my GFI outlets. Then, (Justin) and his associate installed the brand new Ranai Tankless Water heater flawlessly and left the whole laundry room. Immaculately clean. Justin and his assistant went out of their way to get the unit up and running just in time. Our out of town guests came in that evening and we had hot water in the house!!! I can’t say enough about Atomic and Justin’s exceptional professionalism, courtesy, and his willingness to go the extra mile for a customer that he just met. His can-do attitude to get the job done, coupled with his desire to put us in the front of the line because of our out of town guest situation, attests to the outstanding service Atomic provides to their customers. Atomic, you have customers for life here, and Justin, you have new friends for life. Justin, you are a great American!

Worth it! I have given up on trying other plumbers and just call Atomic. They show up when they say they will, do the job correctly, and stand by their work. I also think it's completely reasonable that they ask to be paid for their professional time when doing an inspection/estimate. They might not be the cheapest, but I will cut back in other areas to balance the budget, for this level of service.

Justin is a one man show. I discovered the problem Thursday evening & Justin arrived 1st thing Friday morning, assessed & made recommendations to repair the water supply line leak underneath my driveway. I followed his plan of action & he repaired the leak & driveway. He also repaired some additional plumbing issues. There is awesome value in Justin's service provided to my family. He was very upbeat, professional, high energy, decisive & just as motivated as I was to fix the leak. He addressed & answered all my concerns & questions & made sure I understood the repair process.Prior to repairing, Justin suggested a 3rd party to help isolate the leak. This was to help prevent digging up entire driveway to find the leak. The leak was isolated & it save me AT LEAST an additional $3,500 from other estimates during the prior 24 hours.Justin made our day & we were able to go on our vacation the following week without having to worry about having someone be available to be around for repairs.

Ryan D. has been to my house twice in the past year. Last summer I called Atomic Plumbing on a Sunday night due to a leaking water heater. Ryan arrived first thing the next morning and finished up around 6pm. The job took awhile because plumbing codes have changed a lot over the years and when he finished everything was better than ever.Almost exactly one year later the service line from the street sprung a leak inside a wall in the garage. Within about 30 minutes after speaking with Atomic Plumbing on the phone Ryan was here to look and quote the job. Since I had already exposed the leaking pipe by removing some sheetrock he had the water restored within an hour. I can't say how Atomic pricing compares to other companies. When my water goes down I just want it fixed and don't spend time comparing prices. I do intend to call Atomic Plumbing if there is a next time.q

I had a lot of foundation work done on my 100+ year old home. I had to get plumbing moved on short notice. Then, the movement of the home created a leak in my radiator heating system. Atomic Plumbing sent Chris out both times. Boy am I glad they did. He sure knew what he was doing. He and Will knocked out the changes and repairs in a timely and professional manner. After the project was done, I had an issue with water pressure. Again Chris came out. He diagnosed and fixed the problem at no charge. We moved the tub in our bathroom. Chris and Kale handled moving the water and the drain for us. Chris spent time with us to explain exactly what he was doing and answered all of our questions. I typically dont write reviews, but I have to write this one!Our condo association had a huge problem with broken sewer pipes and tree roots. There was raw sewage backing up in many units. Two different plumbing companies were called. What it boiled down to is neither had the equipment needed to even fully diagnose our problem, much less fix it.We talked to another plumber who recommended Atomic, he told us Atomic is who he would use! He said they do good work, they're honest and they have the equipment needed. Scott Perkins, Dalton & Joey worked many hours and days to get the job done. They were always professional and friendly. Many of the neighbors would come outside and ask questions they would always patiently explain.Before the job plan was agreed to, Scott met with all the home owners with questions & answers virtually, he also met in-person with the board. He was always so easy to reach by phone or text. I can't say enough about how accommodating they were. I also have to mention that Kelly and all the office staff were always helpful and friendly. I believe everyone takes pride in their jobs at Atomic, and they should!I wish I could say all my dealings with contractors / businesses went this smoothly, but I can't.Thank you all!

Scott arrived at my house on time. He respectfully listened to me explain what my problem was and he diagnosed the problem quickly. He gave me two options with the cost for each option. I asked his opinion on which option was best and he made his recommendation. I agreed to his recommendation and he quickly arranged for a smaller drain cleaning device to be delivered to the job site. Zack arrived with the device, helped snake the drain and helped remove the device. Both Scott and Zack did their best to keep my home clean and left the work area spotless. Scott tested the drain multiple times before completion. Scott P. and Zack are true professionals and are valuable company assets! I want to recognize Atomic Plumbing and Drain Cleaning for operating like a well oiled machine and hiring the best people who exhibit the most professional and caring behavior in carrying out their jobs. I had a sewer clog in the main line going from the house to the street which was backing up the entire system in the house. After several days of trying to unclog the system, I finally decided to call Atomic Plumbing based on a neighbor’s suggestion. I put in a request on their website this past Sunday night and told them that my daughter and her family were visiting later in the week for Xmas and that the existing plumbing problem would not tolerate six people in the house for a few days. I got a message that evening to call the Atomic Plumbing emergency number which I did and talked to Kimberly. She was fantastic and explained to me that they would definitely take care of the problem and would have someone out sometime on Monday. I got a call from Atomic soon after they opened for business on Monday and was told that Randy, their technician, would call me about 15-30 minutes before he arrived and that I would receive an email with his picture and a short bio of Randy at that time. That happened within minutes of the call and I soon received the call from Randy. Randy arrived soon and began to get the information I could give him about the problem and find out where the clean outs were. He was a gentleman, professional, assuring and told me he thought he might know where the problem was. He immediately got to work snaking out the system all the way to the street and assured me that the problem was solved when he finished. He gave me the senior discount and was on his way well before lunch. If you read their website carefully, they did with me exactly what they explain they do as part of their normal business routine. I still have not had any problems and highly recommend their services. In today’s environment, dealing with Atomic was like a breath of fresh air.

I went with Atomic because of a Yelp review lauding them for their quick responsiveness. Ryan came within a couple of hours, assessed the work, and returned the next morning with Michael. Both got to work immediately, and finished the two issues separately—replacing the outside water main valve and replacing washing machine faucets with an upgraded system. Both gentlemen had good personalities, knew what they were doing, and told me everything they did. Atomic headquarters kept me informed of when they’d arrive and there were no surprises.

Called for a clogged shower pipe. Office contacted me three times through the day to assure me I wasn't forgotten, and to keep me updated as to when the technician would arrive. Scott (the technician) was very polite and friendly, very open to questions, explained the steps he would work through to fix the issue, and got to work. He provided estimate before starting, quickly finished (no mess!), and discovered the final cost was less than the initial estimate. To recap: fast, professional, fixed, and cheaper than expected. It's been a couple years since I've used Atomic Plumbing. This time I needed a water heater replaced as the old one started leaking the night before. The customer service was excellent. I talked to Deanna to see if I could get someone out the same day. She was very nice and professional and called me back to let me know the ETA. The technicians, Justin D. and Mike Casey arrived in less than 30 min. They were both professional, prompt, and helpful. They ended up replacing the water heater and insulated the pipes. After the quick install, Justin showed me how to adjust the temp, where the on/off valve is located, and explained the State heater unit to me. I am very happy with Atomic Plumbing and the service yet again!

Purchased a new house and bought a washer/dryer and had a terrible clog in my drain pipe. Trey and Dalton came out that same morning (about a hour after my call) and spent over 2 hours at my home making sure everything was clear and that I was good to go with my washer. At 4:00 am I heard running water . I jump out of bed to find water coming from my hot water heater in my attic. Needless to do I was panicking. I YouTube how to turn off the water supply I climbed up and shut that off then hooked a hose to the heater and did my best to drain it. I couldn't find the correct breaker to shut the power to it. Stressing out to the max I googled emergency plumbing. The first I called. Keep in mind it's now a little after 5:00 am. The first I called was a answering service said tomorrow. The next I called was Atomic plumbing. The answering service said the Deanna normally calls with in 15 min. ( I was thinking yeah right). Sure enough in 15 minutes she called. She could hear I was stressed and panicking. She was very reassuring and said it's a emergency and would move me to the front of the line. And I would get a call around 8:00. ( I was feeling a little better just talking with her but had my doubts about a timely call back. ). Sure enough I got a call at 7:50 am and said they could be there in 20 minutes. Sure enough Trey and Michael show up in less than that. Man these two were on it. They could tell I was stressing and the both immediately reassured me they had this and gave me a confidence I have never experienced with a plumbing company before. Michael showed me the breaker and even labeled it for me. Then Trey and he got to work. Trey came down and gave me the estimate and explained my options. I picked one and they got to work. I came home for lunch at1:00 and they were sweeping my floors. From Deanna to Trey and Michael I was handled and treated with genuine friendliness , empathy and professionalism . Mike and Ryan visited us for what we thought was a leak in our drainage line. It actually ended up being a clog that was causing water to leak through the wax ring in our upstairs toilet.It was on the expensive side for having a roto done to clear it out but they did the job very quickly and got us up and running again. They do offer a military discount as well which was nice.The thing that really stood out for me though was I planned to install a new toilet that I grabbed prior to their arrival and they noticed I had purchased the wrong feed line for the new toilet. They not only provided me the correct one but they pointed out the flange for the toilet was lower in the floor which likely caused the leaking as there was only one wax ring on the old toilet. They gave me two wax rings and told me to stack them and that should provide better protection in the future if we were to have another clog down the road. They also showed me where the view port is for our line that goes out to the sewer main in case I needed to troubleshoot any flow problems down the road.Top notch plumbers and both Mike and Ryan were really stand up guys. Thanks again!Definitely won us over as customers in case we have any future plumbing needs.

Scott and John did an amazing job in installing several toilets in my home, and repairing a leaky faucet. Scott has previously installed my hot water heater, and he has consistently shown outstanding professionalism, pride in his job, he thoroughly explains everything, and make sure I am satisfied with the completed job prior to leaving. The one thing that definitely stand out for me is his willingness to return if I am ever unsatisfied with the work completed. I would definitely recommend this company, especially Scott.

I can only try to express just how happy I was with the service provided! They cleared out the clog in my main drain line in a minimal amount of time, they were very professional and kept the house clean when coming and going. The cost was much less than I thought it would be, especially in comparison to the plumber who had supposedly fixed the issue a week and a half ago who did not adhere to a cleanliness standard, scratched up my toilet, stayed for hours and totally overcharged me. Ryan and David spent almost an entire day doing the rough in plumbing for a master bath renovation. I really appreciated Ryan’s extra care to get it right. He spent over an hour talking with me and reviewing the project. And as he encountered any unforeseen issues, he was quick to discuss alternatives. Robin is excellent in all categories. He explains actions ahead of time so we know what is going on. He was very thorough in accomplishing his tasks. His friendly nature put us at ease to ask questions about how the system works and he is happy to explain. We will need to have two cleanouts installed. Robin explained the benefits, our options, the steps to accomplish the installations and and ana estimate for each one. I sent an email through Atomic's website on a Sunday requesting a service call and cost estimate on replacement of our 28 year old water heater which gave up Saturday night. 15 minutes later received an email from Kim immediately followed up by a phone call for details on the water heater, location etc. The next day Alan and Bradley came out early, evaluated the work, provided several fair estimates based on warranty options and installed a new water heater. VERY professional and engaging when I asked technical questions while they were working, neat work and cleaned up thoroughly. On top of that, Atomic Plumbing provides a military discount. Service in it's entirety could not be anymore responsive, fair and professional.

I called Atomic at 9pm on a Wednesday evening after I had another company complete a repair and then abandon me when they couldn't get it correct. They called me back that night and scheduled an appointment for first thing the next morning. They called by 8:30 to say they would be there in a 1/2 hour. They showed up 30 minutes later, spoke to my wife about the situation and told her that they absolutely could fix the problem even though the other company said it couldn't be done (for under $4k). They gave me a very reasonable price of $525 and we agreed to let them do the job. They went right to work and had the job completed and cleaned up quickly. They were complete by 11am. This is the second time that we have used their services and we will not be using anyone else in the future. They are professional, courteous, compassionate, well educated and I would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing service in the Hampton Roads area. Thank you Atomic Plumbing!

Ryan came out originally to inspect our 22 year old gas hot water heater. We weren't having problems with it but felt we were living on borrowed time as it certainly outlived its expected life span. In just a few days Ryan and David installed a new hot water heater and it's working great. Ryan even noticed our gas line in the attic was too close to the roof line and adjusted it making sure exterior nails wouldn't accidentally puncture it. They were extremely polite, professional and timely. Even the person that originally took my call was courteous and updated us on who was coming with a picture and when they would be here. Mid afternoon call made to Atomic when kitchen sink and washer drains were backed up. Then discovered bathroom commode when flushed made the tub gurgle. Tech Ryan arrived within an hour which was faster than expected or promised. Cleaned the main line and then the kitchen. Sounds simple enough but it wasn't. Now all is flowing like a rivers stream. After putting away his equipment and inspecting everything before for the day he noticed that the disposal was leaking under the sink. It was at the end of the day now. To avoid overtime pay he said he would come back in the am. Since I don't have a dishwasher I said let's not replace the disposal but re plumb the drain. He arrived on time today and finished the project.This is my second experience with Atomic and it's equal to if not better than the first thanks to Ryan Dean. Ryan is a true profession. From arriving, surveying the issues, explaining the costs, work performance it was excellent. Nothing in today's world is cheap or free. The price paid to Atomic is worth it. That's a good feeling to be satisfied.I would suggest to all future customers reading this without previously calling Atomic to do so. Matter of fact even if you have a problem tell them as it will only be an opportunity for them to improve. All companies we call irreguardless of trades need the feed back.I will call them in the future when a need arises. Was impressed enough that I called the supervisor and informed himhow good the service was. Bad hot water pipe leak under our slab. Supposedly fixed by another plumbing contractor 2 years ago. Not so much. This time it was fixed properly with new, sleeved pipes. The plumbers on the job were courteous, professional, on time and very very respectful of our property. They completely sealed off the laundry room so no dust or debris got into other rooms. Easy clean-up after a very big job! As seniors it’s important to find trustworthy folks to do this type of job. Will go back to Atomic every time!!

Atomic Plumbing is my go-to company for all our plumping needs. as a follow-up after my annual SPA visit, i took Justin's recommendation to update our 4 eleven-year-old builder-grade toilets that came with the house when we purchased it in 2010. we decided to have them all completely replaced with Toto Drake comfort height toilets versus refurbishing the old ones. Chelsea kept me updated via emails. on the day of the install, Justin and Will were punctual and professional. Justin, a Master Plumber, oversaw Will as they installed the new toilets and was very meticulous throughout. during flush testing, Justin noted that while all 4 included fill valves were operational, 3 weren't to his satisfaction, so during their lunch break, they grabbed 4 new fill valves. he was very pleased with their operation after installation. upon completion of the job, they hauled away the old toilets and cleaned up so well one would never know they were here in the first place! during checkout, he made corrections to the original price quote, properly discounting for being an SPA customer and reducing the prices for the 3 subsequent toilets since they were installed during one visit (a savings of ~$700). i will continue to HIGHLY RECOMMEND Atomic Plumbing for anyone's plumbing needs!

winter storm Grayson 2018 hit southeast Virginia pretty hard. suffered a frozen pressurized pipe burst. left messages with 2 top-rated companies after comparing Angie's List reviews. Atomic called within a half hour. the other company called 6 hours after to tell me i'm still on the wait list (ha!). Tiffany (Atomic) was very understanding and empathic; she updated me quickly via text and email. Justin arrived 2 hours after my distress call. he went over the repair procedure and their fee structure where they charge a flat fee based on the type of job. the repair itself was pretty quick, but he waited a good amount of time for it to cure. he stayed by the repair as i slowly opened the water main. flawless repair! as he closed the ticket, he encouraged add'l steps to prevent a future mishap. did i mention he brought his own shoe covers?! this was an EMERGENCY ON A SUNDAY, and they handled it with friendliness, honesty, efficiency and dependability (it's nasty out there). very highly recommended!

We just moved into our new house earlier this week and suddenly our toilets stopped flushing altogether. And then our shower stopped draining and there was a leak on our ceiling. We called Atomic Plumbing and Don arrived within a couple of hours. He tried snaking our outside drain line but something inside broke his snake. He left for the day and came back the following morning with a bigger snake/camera. He worked on our pipes for hours and in the end, we have running toilets and a shower that drains and no leaks. Don was absolutely phenomenal. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and we are so incredibly appreciative of his hard work. We would recommend Atomic Plumbing to everyone!

Excellent. We have been using Atomic Plumbing for years. They are consistently excellent which is a tribute to the owner, management and technicians they employ. Justin and Will came out for this call - they were respectful, knowledgeable and efficient and got a complicated drain system for a condo complex cleaned out and restored to service promptly. The also took all the recommended CDC recommendations for Covid transmission prevention and properly and extensively protected the apartment infrastructure from being impacted by their work. Just first class all the way. Chelsea was the receptionist/dispatcher - comms were excellent and efficient and she kept us up to date on scheduling. Long story short-the blockage of our main drain was on the city side. Kim was an absolute life saver. She explained what might be happening and advised I call the city first. I followed her instructions and sure enough it was in the easement. Randy initially came out to our home to replace a drop in kitchen sink. What I really appreciated about him was he came in listened to what we were looking to do. He assessed the situation, looked at the sink and diagnosed the problem and concluded that the current cast iron sink we had was in really good shape and saw that all we really needed was to repair the drain area under the sink. He gave us prices for three different options and from those options let us decide which was the best option based on price. Some companies would have come in pulled the sink knowing it could be repaired just to make more money off the job and we would have been none the wiser that repairing the sink was an option. He also replaced the garbage disposal as well while under the sink he noticed some wood damage from previous leaks that occurred in the past. While his company did not do that type of work he offered suggestions on what route we could go to repair them. VERY PLEASED with Randy’s professionalism and quality service. I will definitely use their services again in the future.

Late afternoon on March 9th, I thought that I heard water dripping in the area of our bathrooms. Upon checking the city meter, my suspicions were confirmed. I asked a friend of mine who is a retired contractor who he would call? He said that since since he retired he had suggested Atomic to several of his former customers. We called Atomic and they scheduled us for the next day.(Wednesday) . Wednesday morning, there was an email from Atomic telling me when I could expect a plumber. During the morning, I received two phone calls giving me a report on when the plumbers would arrive at my home.The plumbers, Shawn Dyer & technician Trey were very friendly and professional. Trey went in the crawlspace and found a leak coming from a wall behind a vanity. Shawn give me a price ,which I thought was reasonable, and then completed the work. After finishing the job, Shawn told me how to contact Chesapeake Public Utilities to file a request for a "leaking pipe bill reduction.' Both Shawn and Trey were very personable and did a super job. Had a clog somewhere in my lines that was making drainage to the whole house very slow and they came and cleaned it out.I scoured google reviews, Angie's list, the neighborhood app and yelp to find a company that would be timely and wouldn't break the bank.I chose atomic plumbing since they give you a flat rate up front after finding the issue before doing the work and don't try to sell you on any products, plus since I went ahead and paid for the drain cleaning, they waived the service fee and even ran their machine twice to be sure everything was cleared.They were respectful of my property and my pets, would definitely recommend.

Impressed! Not to often you can find a contractor like this that checks all the boxes. I had a nasty sewer back up. Atomic arrived within a couple of hours of my call. Within 2 minutes Ryan determined the city lateral was the cause. He called the city and I kid you not, they were there with a big rig in 15 minutes and cleared the clog. Atomic wasn't going to charge me but while they were there I had them do a video sewer scan of the drain pipes through the house and to the street to inspect the condition of the pipes which were all good and gave me peace of mind. They DID NOT try to up sell me on bogus services and repairs. In fact the fee was surprisingly low for the value of their service. The whole experience was totally stress free and how it should be in a perfect world.I can't tell you the joy I felt working with such a trusting, competent, professional company. from the appointment with Chelsea, and the competent professional treatment from Ryan and Trey. After realizing we had a blockage in our main line, we called Atomic after hours (9PM) and was graciously helped by Kimberly who was wonderful and provided guidance for calling the city as well as scheduling us an appointment first thing the next morning. I’m putting my house on the market and needed a (very) quick fix to a drippy shower head. The reviews for Atomic Plumbing on the Nextdoor app were excellent, so I gave them a call. They were able to accommodate me very quickly and sent Ryan out to troubleshoot the problem. He was knowledgeable, he was fast, he was friendly, and after learning I was selling my house, he went above and beyond. He knows how to coax older plumbing fixtures into operating order (just call him the pipe whisperer), he knows the building code inside and out (he pointed out several issues a home inspector might incorrectly flag and armed me with documentation with which to counter) and he repaired several small problems I was unaware of - a big help when you want your home to be welcoming to new owners.The company is great to work with and Ryan is a Master Plumber who really embodies the title. They should really consider cloning him.

Based on various reviews and a number of references on the Next Door app, I decided to select Atomic Plumbing for the first time. The initial call to set up an appointment was easy and the representative explained the diagnostic fee and billing process clearly. For clarity, we had some plumbing repairs that didn't require same-day attention, so I was not off-put that we had a service call scheduled for the following week. One of our requests was to install a couple of new shower heads I ordered, which were expected to arrive before the service call. We also had a couple of slow-draining sinks and another sink that had low water pressure. The company's office staff were extremely communicative, sending emails the day I called to schedule an appointment, the day before service, and several emails the day of service. In addition, I received a call an hour into the 4-hour window to inform me of the status of the next available technician. Also, one of the emails I received before the technician's arrival included a picture and a short bio of the technician assigned to us. I have never received such outreach before by any contractors! The technician Robert had arrived within a couple of hours into the scheduled time. He was professional and possessed an even-keeled demeanor. He quickly assessed our needs and gave us the proposed quote. Each time he entered the house he made sure to put boot covers and a mask on, he asked us to check his repairs to ensure we were pleased, and he made sure to clean up the work areas before he left.I was satisfied with the service we received and would use Atomic Plumbing again and ask for Robert to be assigned to us.

I am thrilled with the service given by Atomic plumbing. I had a fairly complex hot water system which was failing. I got prompt attention with different options and prices. It was a pleasure to deal with someone who was knowledgable, smart, as well as courteous. They installed a tankless water heater in the most professional manner. They are so reliable. I left an original reviewing stating that the technician was professional, courteous and efficient. So efficient that he solved the problem with my bathroom faucet in just a few minutes. But I only gave 3 stars because I felt the price was too high. The next day I received a call from Atomic, asking about the service call. After describing the visit, Paul confirmed with the tech that indeed, it was a quick and easy repair. They wanted to insure that I was a satisfied customer, and gave me a credit for an additional 25% off. The job was done right and the price is reasonable, I'd be happy to call them again, if need be.

I had my home completely re-plumbed with new water and drain lines and install a new tankless hot water heater for 2 baths, laundry and a new kitchen. Sean and Zach did an outstanding job. They were both professional, knowledgeable and friendly. One thing that I noticed was that they both worked well together as a team. Great teamwork! Sean was very meticulous in his work not only for how it functioned but how it looked. They removed all exiting piping and daily left the job site spotless. Great company. We dealt with another local company whose rates were astronomical and lead us in the wrong direction. Atomic Plumbing came out and they were fair and explained everything. They have been a huge help, The techs were great too. Very professional and honest. We could not be happier. I highly recommend them. Make Atomic your first call.....don't make the mistake we did!

I just want to say that Justin Duke was the best! Not only did he fix the requested items but he fixed additional requested items once he arrived. He was very professional, kind, courteous and willing to do whatever I needed without hesitation. Everything he did looked great, works great, and I just appreciate his professionalism, knowledge, and dedication to the task at hand. We called Atomic as our landlords were taking a bit to have a quote sent to us for our slow kitchen drain. Atomic quoted someone to come out between 12-5 the dame day we called. We got a call back letting us know a tech was on their way and Sean D. showed up. Sean was super nice and friendly upon arrival and the entire time he worked on our sink. He asked what happened so far and was not frustrated that I wasn't able to provide him with details as my significant other hadn't filled me in on what had happened with the sink. So, Sean took time to see what was going on so he could work on it.While Sean was here, I learned a lot about all the ways that people come and fix things. I appreciated being told what the possibilities were for how things could get fixed if there was a worst case scenario and how he would handle it. All in all, Sean's customer service skills are top notch and if we have another issue, I hope everyone at Atomic is the same if we don't get him again. He let us know that the drain issue is common because of the exit plug on the outside of the house and that was good knowledge to have in general. Out service with Sean was quick, informative, but he definitely paid attention to detail and now our kitchen sink drain is working as it should. Very happy customers!

I’ve always heard great things about you guys ever since I was first stationed here in 2011. When my laundry room drain flooded I knew who to call. Aron came out got right to business and made sure everything was 100% good and to my satisfaction before he left. My husband and I are a military family so it’s hard to find professionals to trust and Aron 100% took care of the issue in record time and was super knowledgeable. I also really appreciate the Megan reaching out to make sure I knew when he was heading out and to follow up with us afterwards. It shows how much integrity a company has because we know you care! This was our first experience with Atomic. From our initial call, to the follow-up communications, to the arrival of our technician was great. Our technician, Ryan D. was top notch! He evaluated the situation; presented to us his plans for repair, and completed the repairs in a timely and professional manner. He didn't seem to mind my husband looking over his shoulder while he was working, and explained what he was doing as the work progressed. The work area was spotless when he completed the job! For the amount of work that was done, we thought the price was fair. We will definitely be requesting Ryan on any future plumbing repairs. Thank you Atomic and Ryan for a job well done!

Atomic Plumbing is amazing. I have used them twice in the last year. Both times I had bad pipes leaking in the garage. Justin R. was the technician to come both times. He was quick in arriving which is helpful when water is going everywhere. He is very professional and explained everything to me while fixing everything in a timely manner. I also want to give praise to the ladies in the office. They were very nice and helpful each time I called. Highly recommend Atomic Plumbing and Justin R.

Randy C. was great! I had a window of 8am-noon and he was at my house before 830am. he was very professional and personable. I had been recommended to Atomic by some family friends, and I'm happy I went with them to get our garbage disposal replaced. Randy also gave me some extra magnets for my 2 year old and 4 year old-- my 2 year old son was super excited about that :) Thanks again!

I don’t doubt the expertise of this business, and would agree with professionalism and punctuality. However, when I called to schedule the appointment I already knew my issue. I had a bad cartridge in my shower, causing water not to come out of the faucet and shower head. I explained this when making the appointment. Technicians came out and confirmed the issue, I was prepared to have them repair it until they provided the quote of $568!!!! I said the part costs $40 and it’s takes 10-15 minutes to replace! I was beyond shocked and disappointed. The price included a $100 trip fee because they didn’t have the cartridge (yet they advertise “fully stocked trucks”). But even at $468, the price was still ridiculous considering the type of repair. If plumbers make $2000 an hour, I need to switch profession. They made $69 for basically confirming what I had already told them...I guess they are still winning. UPDATE 01/17/2020 - the owner responded to my original post, asking me to contact the office to discuss my experience. I contacted them this morning and spoke to Paul. I shared my thoughts on the pricing based on the nature of the repair and he appreciated the input and said they would review their rate sheets. He also offered to refund the $69 service fee, which was much appreciated! The responsiveness and open-minded attitude towards hearing me out really demonstrated their commitment to being respectful business owners, and shows pride in business ownership. We've used Atomic Plumbing a few times for jobs around the house. Each time the technicians have been professional and the quality of work has been great. The last job was performed by Justin Ricker and Scott Perkins. Justin did a job for us before and his professionalism left a good impression on us. It was indeed a pleasure to see that Scott had the same qualities. As long as Atomic employ young men like them they will continue to have a loyal customer.
